SUBMIT AN OPEN RECORDS REQUEST
The City of Von Ormy's policy is to provide you with the fullest possible access to public information. If you wish to request records under the Texas Public Information Act, please refer to the following requirements and guidelines.
It is suggested before making an open records request to check the City website to make sure the information is not already available to the general public.
A request can only be made for existing records in their present forms. Please be specific in your request to aid in the search of documents. As all requests are tracked when received and the status is updated, please make sure to adhere to the following instructions.

Requests must be made in writing. Telephone requests are not considered open records requests.
Please include your name, contact information and a clear description of the records you are requesting in all open records request.
The City of Von Ormy does not accept requests via fax.
Written requests should be addressed to P.O. Box 10, Von Ormy TX 78073 or delivered in person to our offices at 14729 Quarter Horse, Von Ormy TX 78073. Emails are written requests and will be accepted ONLY through the email address Cityclerk@vonormytx.gov.
The City of Von Ormy is under no legal obligation to respond if the requirements of the Public Information Act are not followed.

Open records requests are not required for Texas Peace Officer's Crash Reports (CR-3), which are available for purchase through the Crash Report Online Purchase System.

NOTARY FEES
Effective September 1, 2023 these are the new Notary fees.
Acknowledgments $10 for first signature, $1 for each additional signature on same document
Jurats $10 per certificate, including oath or affirmation
Certified Copies $10 per certificate
Certified Copies of Notarial Records $1 per page
Protests $4 for each bill or note, $1 per notice served, $4 for certificate and seal
Depositions $10 for certificate and oath, $1 per 100 words
All other Notarial acts $10

DOCUMENT COPYING/PRINTING
The City office will be providing a copy service for documents. We cannot copy a large volume, but if you need a copy of a form, insurance, driver's license, etc., we can help. The cost per one-sided, black and white copy is $ .30 and for a one-sided, color copy is $ .75.
In addition, if you email your document to cityclerk@vonormytx.gov we can print out a document for you.
