City of Von Ormy Election Information
Election Day: May 3, 2025
The City of Von Ormy is a Type-C Municipality with a Commission form of Government comprised of one (1) Mayor and two (2) Commissioners. Each elected official serves a term of two (2) years. The current Board of Commissioners was elected May 2023.

First Day to Declare Candidacy: Wednesday, January 15, 2025
Last Day to Declare Candidacy: February 14, 2025, by 5:00 p.m.
General Qualifications for Candidacy:
1. MUST be a United States citizen.
2. MUST be at least 18 years of age or older on the commencement of the term filled at the election.
3. MUST be a registered voter of the City of Alpine as of the filing date.
4. MUST have resided continuously in Texas for twelve (12) months and the city for 6 months immediately preceding the filing deadline.
5. MUST NOT have been finally convicted of a felony (unless pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disabilities).
6. MUST satisfy any other requirement prescribed by law for the office.
Texas Constitution, Article XVI, Section 40
No person shall hold or exercise, at the same time, more than one civil office of emolument. A "civil office of emolument" is an office that provides a salary, fees, or other financial benefits
