The Mission of the Von Ormy Police Department is to enhance the quality if life in the City of Von Ormy by working cooperatively with the public and within the framework of the U.S. Constitution to enforce the laws, preserve the peace, reduce fear, and provide from a safe environment.

It is the objective of the Von Ormy Police Department to safeguard the lives and property of the people we serve, to reduce the incidence of crime, and to enhance public safety while working with the community to improve their quality of life.

Our mandate is to do so with honor and integrity, while at all times conducting ourselves with the highest ethical standards to maintain public confidence. 

We shall strive to improve the quality of community life through the provision of quality and equitable services.

We shall always engage in behavior that is beyond ethical reproach and reflects the integrity of police professionals.

We shall ensure all persons are treated fairly and equitably. 

The role of the police is to resolve problems through the enforcement of laws – not through the imposition of judgement of judgement or punishment.

Law enforcement and public safety reflect a community wide concern; therefore the Von Ormy Police Department will actively seek the involvement of citizens in all aspects of policing.
